MR. CHEAH JI LIN - FOUNDER & DIRECTOR, J&S MUSIC STUDIO

Mr. Cheah Ji Lin graduated from the prestigious Middlesex University London with a degree in Classical Music, majoring in violin and minoring in piano. With over eight years of teaching experience, he has mentored more than 200 students, nurturing their musical growth with dedication and passion.Mr. Cheah began his performance career in his teenage years, appearing as a guest artist at weddings, concerts, and various private events. During his study breaks and after graduation, he regularly performed at five-star hotels, including the Ritz-Carlton in Malaysia. His performance portfolio also includes collaborations with the Selangor Symphony Orchestra, reflecting his extensive experience and versatility as a musician.In addition to his work as a performer and educator, Mr. Cheah is the founder and director of J&S Music Studio, where he continues to inspire students and promote the joy of music through personalized instruction and performance opportunities.

MS. TEE SHAN YI - DIRECTOR OF J&S MUSIC STUDIO

Ms. Tee Shan Yi is an acclaimed pianist, piano tutor, and accompanist known for her dynamic performances and insightful teaching. She brings nine years of experience in both music performance and instruction. During her secondary school years, she achieved a high distinction in the Trinity ATCL Performance Diploma and holds Grade 8 certificates in both ABRSM Piano and Theory of Music. Specializing in classical music, Tee earned her Bachelor’s degree in Performance and Composition from Middlesex University London, majoring in piano with a minor in violin. While at university, she actively participated in numerous solo and ensemble performances and competitions, notably winning first prize in the Senior Ensemble Section of the 2019 Yamaha Electone Festival National Finals.Tee’s approach to performance assessment is holistic, taking into account technical proficiency, musical expression, and interpretive depth. She emphasizes sincerity and authenticity in performance, encouraging students to convey their unique artistic voice while respecting the composer’s original intentions.
